SRF Foundation was set up as the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of SRF Limited in 1982.

The objective of the Foundation is to contribute to society through education. It started by setting up 'The Shri Ram Schools' and 'SRF Vidyalaya' under the vision of Mrs. Manju Bharat Ram.

Today the Foundation focuses primarily on advocating education for all through its flagship initiative programme, Mewat Rural Educational Programme. The Foundation has expanded its reach to include the Mewat Rural Vocational Programme, training male and female youth through the Electrician Training Workshop and Production Centres respectively

The Foundation also runs Enhancing Early Education Programme (3EP) which is a teacher training institute, Shri Sambandh which provides academic services to schools and partner with other organisations which work with disadvantaged children, and promotes CSR within SRF.

With its head office in Gurgaon, Haryana in India the Foundation also advises the corporate citizenship councils at each of the 13 plant locations.

The Foundation is registered under the Societies Registration Act (XXI of 1860).
