A meeting of the Board of Directors is scheduled to be held on Friday, the 13th August, 2004 at New Delhi for, inter-alia, considering and approving a “Captive Power Project” at an approximate cost of Rs. 23 crores at the Company’s Chemical Business plant.

Pursuant to the Code of Conduct for Prevention of Insider Trading framed in accordance with the Securities & Exchange Board of India (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, the window for trading in the shares of the Company by the Directors/employees will remain closed between Friday, the 6th August, 2004 to Monday, the 16th August, 2004 (both days inclusive).
